French scientists prove that GMO is a terrible poison

Although we do not support such research methods as testing on animals, we decided to publish this article to alarm people about dangers of GMO.

One of the leading scientific magazines on food toxicity “Food and Chemical Toxicology” recently published research study from team of French scientists led by Gilles-Eric Séralini from University of Caen. In a strictly confidential study, he and his team did a long-term research on impact of GMO corn on rats.

What this study discovered was shocking, that is GMO corn had destructive impacts on the studied rats’ health rather than those which were fed with only non-GMO corn.

The study was performed with caution, because scientists were afraid that large corporations can interrupt it. In a 2 year period all scientists that worked on this research, enciphered all the messages that were exchange between them. No talks about this study were discussed on phone and they were announcing to other people that they do a completely different study. They managed to progress the research without attracting attention from large corporates until the day this study was submitted.

First of all, for their preparation, they had to buy GMO corns NK 603, which is patented by US biotechnology corporation Monsanto. In order to do this research in secret, they purchased the corns though Canadian dealers and prepared food for laboratory rats.

Two hundred rats were divided into two groups. One group was fed with GMO corns, the other with average corns as non-GMO. After one year passed, these rats that ate GMO corn got sick and  died before long. Many females also got breast tumors, and, for certain rats, some tumor occupied 25% of whole body weight. Male rats were diagnosed with problems in liver and kidney function. It was found that all GMO fed rats got sick 2-5 times more frequently than those which ate average corns.

Tumors for GMO corn fed rats appeared very early. For male rats they appeared within 20 months, but for female within 3 months. For human species this means – within 40 years. Former Minister of the Environment of France, Corinne Lepage in the book “The truth about GMO’s, is our business” (Published by Charles Léopold Mayer) is also paying much attention about dangers of GMO.

France and the majority of EU countries refuse to accept GMO products for consumption. However, controversial is the fact that France and EU refused to finance any long-term researches relating to consumption of GMO products, including this research. This research was funded by Swiss based Charles Léopold Mayer foundation together with wholesalers Carrefour and Auchan. These two companies joined funding to avoid another scandal with selling unsafe food products and to show care towards their customers. Previously these companies got in trouble with selling products that got affected by so called “mad cow disease”.

The battle is just at the beginning. Monsanto Corporation, which is Worlds largest producer of GMO crops, has already patented hundreds of GMO crops and they are strongly protecting their rights. To test each of these crops, enormous amount of money for researches has to be gathered. Also information war is beginning, it can be easily predicted that Monsanto will work and release various researches that will deny results of Séralini research. Many of the world’s countries already are widely planting and using crops produced by Monsanto.

This battle will be tight, even in Europe. Refusal of EU to fund researches relating to GMO foods proves that there might be certain powerful people in the head of EU that collaborate with producers and promoters of GMO.

Monsanto Corporation was established in 1901. After the Second World War they started production of various herbicides and insecticides that nowadays are very controversial chemicals. This company produces famous herbicide RoundUp that is produced used to kill weeds. This company also was involved in production of “Agent Orange” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agent_Orange) which is horrendous herbicide that was used by American army in the Vietnam War. Because of the application of this deadly chemical, thousands of people got cancer and various physical disabilities. Basically this corporation is earning profit from destruction and since 1983 they are involved in production of GMO products. Monsanto has already penetrated in such huge markets as Brazil, India and South Africa… Since 1990 they have produced various GMO, including potato, soy, cotton, corn, alfalfa (lucern), rape (canola), eggplants and others.

Monsanto has been involved already in multiple scandals, including famous scandal with poison dioxin also known as PCB’s (polychlorinated biphenyl). USA, India, France and Wales sued Monsanto. In France, Monsanto also been sued about false writing on RoundUp package, which said that this chemical is biodegradable and does not harm environment.

Monsanto is strongly protecting their reputation and fights lawsuits against it. Besides mentioned lawsuits, they are also suspected in production of growth hormones for cows, falsification of research results about harm of their products and application of technology called “Terminator”. Application of this technology results in that seeds of second generation become infertile.

The power of Monsanto is growing with financial profit around 2 billion USD per year.

GMO food is already or can be in near future in the shelves of our supermarket…
